The Food and Drug Administration is taking public comment on a potential new rule that would severely restrict or even ban ALL flavored e-vapor products. The FDA needs to hear how this decision could negatively impact adult vapers.
Rather than focusing on removing choices from the market, the FDA should be giving adults more access to alternative products that reduce harm, including ones with flavors adults prefer. And it should also give smokers information about the benefits of switching.
Submit a comment the FDA today and tell them:
Severely restricting or banning flavored e-vapor products would unfairly target adult vapers and could force many vape shops—many of which are small, local businesses—to close.
Flavors are a necessary part of the vaping experience, and truly set e-vapor products apart from other tobacco products. Regulations should be reasonable and take into account that adults like flavors, too.
Everyone agrees that kids should not use any tobacco products. There are reasonable restrictions the FDA should impose that would still respect the fact that many adults prefer flavored e-vapor products.
This proposed rule is just another example of the government trying to dictate consumer behavior. It is unfair to restrict adult vapers’ ability to choose the legal products they prefer.
